Social is Cleo’s social-content workspace: listen to what’s said about your brand, draft replies and posts in your brand voice, run enabled seeding campaigns, and plan a content calendar. Social access and supported networks depend on the active site’s configuration. See Plans and billing.

Where to find it

  1. Open the site workspace.
  2. Choose Channels → Social.
Social is organised into six sub-tabs: Today, Listen, Engage, Seeding, Schedule, and Analytics.

Today

A dashboard of your social presence and recent performance:
  • Presence Index — an overall measure of your brand’s social visibility.
  • Platform performance — metrics per network over a selectable window.
  • Recent activity and followers.
  • Headline stat tiles and any outstanding actions.
Use Today as your at-a-glance starting point each time you open Social.

Listen

Monitor where your brand is mentioned and cited across social and community platforms (for example Reddit, LinkedIn, Medium, Quora, X, Bluesky, Instagram, and TikTok):
  • A mentions / citations feed with platform badges; filter to see everything, including items you’ve already replied to.
  • Instagram and TikTok mentions are view-only: open the post on the platform to respond, as CLEO cannot reply there.
  • Reddit comments and Quora answers that name your brand appear as mentions in their own right, with the thread they sit in named above each one. Use Posts only or Comments and answers to narrow the feed, and open a mention to read its whole thread.
  • Conversations — the subjects people discuss about your category on Reddit and Quora, found without searching for your name. Each topic shows how busy it was this week against last, how often you and your competitors are named in it, and example threads. Open a topic to see its threads with the comments that name you or a competitor pulled out, and edit the phrases CLEO searches for it (phrases cannot name your brand or a competitor).
  • Influencers — track relevant voices and open a detail drawer for each.
  • Competitors — up to three confirmed competitors are searched on every refresh, the same way your brand is, so Share of Voice compares real conversation volume.
  • Show more on a mention displays the post as it was written: line breaks, and on Reddit also lists, bold text and links.
  • Automatic cleaning — posts that only tag your brand while talking about something else, and obscene or abusive posts, are hidden automatically. Find them under Hidden mentions, with the reason, and restore any that were hidden by mistake; a restored post stays visible.
Listen is about awareness: it tells you what conversations are happening so you can decide where to engage.

Engage

Turn mentions into replies, written in your brand voice:
  • Feed — mentions available for a response.
  • Drafts — your saved draft replies.
  • Reply with AI — Cleo drafts a reply in your configured brand voice; edit and save it.
  • Manage your brand voice from here so replies sound like you.
Where a network connection supports it, you can schedule the reply (for example, Schedule for X). X is the exception. X does not allow apps to reply on your behalf to someone else’s post, so Cleo cannot send an X reply for you. Use Copy & open instead: it copies your draft and opens the post on x.com, ready to paste.

Seeding

Seeding is the campaign execution screen. It appears only when campaigns and social seeding are enabled for the active site. Run campaign-driven social content:
  • Active campaigns with their running status.
  • New campaign — create a seeding campaign.
  • A post pipeline for drafting and approving content, and a platform execution view showing posting status per network.
  • A completed campaigns history.

Target keywords

Each campaign carries one or two target keywords — the exact phrases you want it to own. Every post Cleo drafts for that campaign contains one of them, word for word. Edit them on the campaign settings page; a campaign always keeps at least one.

Approving posts

Cleo drafts posts and waits for you — always. Nothing is published to your accounts without you approving it first. You approve each post in the post pipeline. A running campaign has two switches. Let Cleo publish approved posts is on for new campaigns. Once you approve an X, Bluesky or LinkedIn post, Cleo publishes it at its scheduled time from the account shown on the post:
  • Each draft shows the account it will use: the one picked for that network on the campaign’s settings page or, if none is picked, the campaign creator’s own account on that network when they have exactly one connected and you are allowed to post from it.
  • Change the account on the card before you approve, or pick Post it myself to keep that post yours. You can change it again after approving, until it goes out.
  • Reddit, Medium and Quora have no posting API, so those always stay yours to post.
  • A post Cleo will not publish says why on its card. If the reason is that publishing is off for the campaign, the card has a Let Cleo publish this campaign link that turns the switch on without leaving Seeding.
Switch it off and approved posts wait for you to publish them from Seeding. Campaigns created before this switch existed keep the behaviour they had, until you turn it on from the settings page or a post card.

Posted

  • If you publish a post yourself, on any network, click Mark posted on its card and paste the link. It moves to Posted and Cleo will not publish it again. Clicked it by mistake? Undo on the Posted card puts it back under Scheduled.
  • Each posted card says Published by Cleo or Marked posted by you.
  • A post Cleo is publishing right now shows Cleo is publishing this now under Scheduled, and moves to Posted on its own once it is live.
Times on every card, in the Plan calendar and in the post editor are shown in your own time zone. Let Cleo email me for approval is off to start with on every campaign:
  • Cleo sends one message a day listing what is waiting, numbered.
  • Reply in plain English — “approve all”, “1 and 3 look good”, “make 2 shorter”, or “no, not that one” — and Cleo applies it.
  • Turning the email on also turns on Let Cleo publish approved posts, so approving by email publishes to X, Bluesky and LinkedIn with nothing left to do in the app. An email approval uses the account already on each post; the email never picks one for you, so a post with no account stays yours to post.
  • Reddit, Medium and Quora have no posting API, so those are marked post this yourself and the email carries the full copy to paste straight in.
Send the approval email to sets who gets it, per campaign. Add up to five addresses; leave it empty and Cleo emails this site’s owners and editors. Each campaign has its own list, so a campaign you run for a customer can go to them while your own goes to you. Only the people Cleo actually sent the email to can approve, and the reply has to come from their real mailbox — a forwarded copy will not do it. That cuts both ways: an address you add here can approve, reject and ask for rewrites on this campaign, so only add people you want making those calls. Switching it back off stops the emails and returns you to approving in the app. It does not stop publishing; that is the other switch. Anything you already approved stays approved. Once a post is approved it also appears on the Plan calendar, marked as a campaign post, and you can change its copy and time there like any other scheduled post. Drafts still waiting for approval stay in Seeding. When you open a scheduled post from the calendar, the editor shows the connected account it will go out from, with your other accounts on that network beside it. Pick another to switch, or deselect it to keep the post yours to post. Once a connected account is selected, Publish now posts it straight away instead of waiting for its time. A post that has already gone out keeps its account.

Schedule

Plan and schedule original posts:
  • Calendar — a monthly view of scheduled posts.
  • Ideas — Cleo generates post ideas; pick one and write a draft, choosing a platform (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Medium, or Bluesky).
  • Posts — your drafted, scheduled posts.
For each post you can schedule it yourself to a date and time, or request a Cleo-managed post, where the Cleo team handles the post for you (subject to a monthly quota shown in the tab).

Analytics

Analytics is organised into Audience, Traffic, Engagement, and Competitors views. Use it to understand follower movement, traffic attributable to social activity, performance by platform, and competitor share of voice over 7-, 30-, or 90-day windows. Connect the relevant social accounts and Google Analytics before treating an empty chart as zero performance. Some platforms limit which audience or post metrics third-party applications can read.

Export Report

The Export Report button at the top right of the Social page downloads a report for the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Tick the sections you want; only those are included.
  • PDF report: a branded report to share with your team or senior people. It can include highlights (peak day, top platform, top voice, engagement change), a short AI-written summary, key numbers compared with the previous period of the same length, a mentions trend, sentiment and mentions by platform, a platform performance table, a this-period-vs-previous table, top voices and keywords, competitor share of voice, your top mentions, and the replies you sent and posts coming up. Sections with no data for the period say so. Mentions in the PDF are counted by the date Cleo found them, the same basis as sentiment and share of voice, so every number in the report agrees; the chart on the Listen tab counts by publish date, so its total can differ slightly. On white-label plans the report carries your logo and name instead of Cleo’s. Choose English or Arabic; an Arabic report reads right to left, with the summary written in Arabic. Mentions keep their original language.
  • Excel data: the raw data, one sheet per section: mentions over time, mentions, conversations, replies, scheduled and published posts, profile metrics, follower growth, and engagement by platform.
Viewers can export too.

Connecting networks

Some networks connect directly for automated posting (X, Bluesky and LinkedIn) via a one-time authorisation; you’ll see a confirmation once connected. Other networks are used for listening and draft-based workflows. If a posting action isn’t available, the network may not be connected yet.

Plan limits and access

  • Social, Campaigns, and Seeding appear only when enabled for the active site.
  • Some networks support listening but not direct publishing.
  • Managed publishing and campaign activity can have usage limits shown in the product.
  • Before changing access for a site with scheduled content, confirm what will happen to pending approvals and posts with the Cleo team.
